Weddingsonline Awards Winner!
Hello everyone,
Well the last month has just been an absolute whirlwind. I honestly think I am only coming up for air after it now. I just wanted to write a note to say thank you again to all who voted me through to the submission stages of the Weddingsonline Awards. Even though I put a lot of effort it to my submission I was in pure shock when they called my name out, I can barely remember walking to the stage, and my dress was so long at the front I had to keep holding it up, very annoying!!!! I am doing this for almost 9 years now and I still pinch myself to think that I do it for a living. So much work goes in to being self employed, doing the makeup is the easiest part. So much admin / organisation etc all goes on behind the scenes that people don't see. So to receive this award feels like some recognition for all that. I'm so happy!
It was such a great night in Clontarf Castle, a night away with my hubby Brian and in the company of so many suppliers who are held in such high regard in the wedding Industry. Karen Maher Makeup, a great friend of mine who is an amazing Makeup Artist and I'm so thankful for her support as a friend and a work collegue. Audrey of Upstyle Junkie, whom I have had the pleasure of knowing and working with for many years now, she is one of the most talented hair stylists I know and an absolute Doll! The lovely ladies from Edel Tuite Bridal wear and from Allure jewellery, who took home an award along with Leanne of Vow 2 Wow also here in Kilkenny who won for the second year in a row, Go Leanne!! We had a great night, we don't get to all get out together often as the majority of our work is weekends so to have a big night like this was brilliant! I had my hair blow dried and styled back by Shelly in Top Notch hair in Kilkenny. I trust a hand full of people with my hair and she is right at the front! She gives the best blow dry ever!!!!
I kept my makeup natural enough with rose golds and brown on my eyes to make them bright and fresh! Earrings from Folkster and dress from Asos. Shoes were New Look, and I can honestly say they cut the feet off of me! My lovely father in law Phil, handed me this when we got back from Dublin. It's from the date of the Awards. He's so sweet! So thank you all again for all the support and we'll wishes the last few weeks my house smells so fresh from all the flowers that I so kindly recieved. I was working on my new website hence the delay in the Blog post which I hope you will all love as much as I do. Your all amazing,
Lots of love,
